Job Details
Key Duties
• Patrol assigned areas to preserve peace, prevent crime, and protect lives and property.
• Enforce Federal criminal laws and the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).
• Protect government property and facilities against trespass, theft, and damage.
• Apprehend, detain, or arrest individuals suspected of committing crimes.
• Collect and preserve evidence, and respond to emergency situations.
Core Requirements
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Pass a pre-employment physical examination and annual physical agility test (PAT).
• Subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license.
• Must be proficient in the use of assigned firearms.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Successful completion of the US Army Civilian Police Academy within 12 months of hire (or approved waiver/grandfathered status).
Qualifications
GS-05 One year of experience applying basic laws, assisting with law enforcement operations, and maintaining order. (Education may be substituted).
GS-06 One year of experience maintaining order, protecting life and property, and responding to emergency/non- emergency situations. (No education substitution).
GS-07 One year of experience performing law enforcement investigations, collecting evidence, and preparing incident reports. (No education substitution).
Work schedule will be arranged with the employer.
