The Directorate of Emergency Services at US Army Garrison Dugway Proving Ground is looking for a qualified Police Officer specializing in Inventory Management. This role is critical for overseeing emergency fleet operations, managing equipment, and ensuring the operational readiness of the department.
Job Details:
Salary: $58,240 - 75,710 per year
Pay Scale & Grade : GS 8
Location: Dugway Proving Ground, UT
Work Schedule: Full-time, Shift Work

Key Duties:
- Oversee emergency fleet operations, including dispatch, maintenance, and security.
- Conduct physical inventories of equipment and property to identify lost, damaged, or unserviceable items.
- Utilize automated systems for police reports, purchase card tracking, and inventory records.
- Investigate traffic violations and criminal acts by collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with contract terms.
Core Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Successful graduation from the US Army Military Police School Civilian Police Academy (or approved waiver).
- Pass a pre-employment physical examination and an annual Physical Agility Test (PAT).
- Subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license.
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Qualifications:
- Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level. This includes:
- Conducting traffic incident investigations.
- Interviewing witnesses to collect and analyze evidence for detailed reports.
- Using automated systems to maintain records like police reports, activity logs, and property books.
No substitution of education for experience is permitted for this position.
