Job description
Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager of the plant, you are the Health, Safety, and Environment and Facility Manager for your legal entity.
The position's role is to provide for the proper and safe functioning of all of the facilities, as well as, to perform facility planning, oversight of construction, remodelling and repair of the facilities. In the new environment and sustainable growth, monitors and improves energy saving and decrease environment
impact of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
As HSE & Facility Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advancing SAFETY FIRST—a Safran core value that protects our employees, supports our business, and safeguards our customers.
You are accountable to:
• Define, implement, and promote the company or site's Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policy in compliance with current regulations and Safran Group standards.
• Be responsible for maintaining, continuously improving and raising the level of requirements and HSE standards of the company.
• Lead and coordinate HSE teams or representatives, ensuring the development and upskilling of all team members.
• Foster employee engagement on HSE topics around company and group strategic objectives
• Actively support the business strategy through HSE actions by implementing appropriate initiatives
• Drive key relevant HSE performance indicators and report regularly to management on HSE performance and progress.
• Ensure compliance with internal HSE rules (Safran group and legal)
• Be part of the Safran Aerosystems HSE network and actively participate in relevant meetings
• Take ownership of the HSE roadmap (defined at a higher organizational level) within your area of responsibility, translate it into operational objectives, and ensure successful execution in terms of timeliness, quality, and adherence to allocated budgets.
• Identify, assess, and prevent occupational risks related to personnel safety, facility security, and environmental compliance.
• Lead the implementation and management of the HSE management system (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.).
Candidate skills & requirements
• Proficiency in risk analysis tools and methods (FMEA, fault tree analysis, etc.).
• Statistical analysis and HSE reporting.
• Facilitation of safety and environmental training sessions.
• Crisis management and emergency planning.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Knowledge of construction, building systems repair/maintenance required.
• Ability to manage multiple complicated priorities/tasks required.
• Exhibit strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to interface successfully with contractors and vendors and maintain positive business relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Flexibility to adapt working hours where necessary
Additional Preferred skills:
• Experience within an aerospace or aircraft manufacturing facility.
• Previous experience with large scale project management to include facility
remodel/transformation.
