Job Description
Manage multiple projects and teams, ensuring effective delivery of stakeholder engagement strategies across varying levels of complexity.
Champion the use of company systems, tools, and processes to drive efficiency in stakeholder, cost, and document management.
Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Represent the company as a senior stakeholder interface, developing and maintaining strong relationships with government entities, utility providers, community representatives, and other key stakeholders.
Leverage knowledge of the company’s competitive advantages to identify innovative and strategic opportunities through ongoing stakeholder engagement.
Manage all stakeholder relationships in a structured and systematic manner, including coordination with relevant authorities and regulatory bodies, to ensure effective communication and compliance.
Establish and maintain the stakeholder management strategy and register, ensuring timely updates and effective implementation.
Lead stakeholder outreach initiatives, facilitating dialogue to understand shared interests and address concerns.
Build strategic alliances with key constituency groups that align with the company’s mission to support project success and foster long-term partnerships.
Prepare and deliver high-level program progress presentations and dashboards to executive stakeholders, ensuring transparency and continuous engagement.
Represent client and company interests in all matters related to permitting and approvals, providing expert guidance and support.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of planning and permitting processes, coordinating with authorities for clarifications, justifications, and statutory approvals.
Engage with stakeholders to identify and analyse issues, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
Collaborate with Project Directors and Design Managers to develop permitting strategies and implement risk mitigation measures to avoid project delays.
Ensure the timely and compliant submission of documentation in accordance with the authority's requirements and specifications.
Strengthen internal stakeholder engagement capabilities by educating teams, connecting cross-functional groups, and contributing to business unit strategy.
Monitor project progress across the portfolio, proactively identifying risks in the permitting process and providing regular updates via dashboards.
Maintain strong, active relationships with senior-level officials in government and utility organisations to support project advancement and resolution of issues.
Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years post-undergraduate experience.
B. Sc or BEng in Architecture or Engineering
Local Authority Engineer registration preferred
Working towards or attaining membership of a professional body (PMP etc) preferred
