Within this segment, Eaton has an opening for an Operational Excellence (OPEX) Engineer Manager – Global Data Center Segment. This position is a globally focused senior individual contributor position within the Post Order Center of Excellence (CoE) for the segment. It will be accountable for defining, deploying, and continuously improving the global operating model for data center services execution.
The OPEX Manager partners closely with the Services Offer Manager , regional service execution leaders, PMO, digital, and quality teams to ensure Eaton’s services are delivered one global way—with standardized processes, clear performance metrics, strong governance, and a culture of continuous improvement. The role plays a critical part in scaling services profitably while improving customer outcomes, cycle time, cost, and quality across all regions.
What you’ll do:
Global Services Operating Model
Define, standardize, and continuously improve the global post‑order services execution model across hyperscale and colocation data center customers.
Ensure alignment between service offer design and real‑world execution capabilities across regions.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and OPEX initiatives focused on improving safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer satisfaction.
Identify systemic execution gaps and drive root‑cause corrective actions across engineering, project management, field services, and supply chain interfaces.
Performance Management & Governance
Establish global KPIs, dashboards, and review cadences for services execution performance.
Drive transparency and accountability through structured operating reviews and escalation mechanisms.
Post Order CoE Enablement
Partner with PMO, digital, and process owners to embed standard work, governance, and digital tools into daily execution.
Support global roll‑out of new service offers by ensuring readiness of processes, training, and execution standards.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
Influence and align stakeholders across regions and functions without direct authority in a highly matrixed organization.
Act as a connector between services, commercial, engineering, quality, and regional delivery teams.
Customer & Market Feedback Loop
- Incorporate customer feedback, lessons learned, and operational insights into continuous improvement of service offers and execution models.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in operations, services execution, operational excellence, or continuous improvement, preferably in complex, global, project‑based environments.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification.
Skills:
10+ years of progressive experience in operations, services execution, operational excellence, or continuous improvement, preferably in complex, global, project‑based environments.
Experience supporting data center, mission‑critical infrastructure, power systems, or industrial services.
Background in services transformation, execution standardization, or global CoE models.
Experience supporting data centers and mission critical electrical infrastructure (grey/white space ecosystems, commissioning/startup environments, or power services).
Prior involvement in services offer commercialization, post‑order execution models, or lifecycle services.
Strong analytical mindset with experience developing dashboards, KPIs, and performance insights.
Exposure to large, programmatic customers (e.g., hyperscale or global accounts).
