Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Engineer - Structural to join our innovative team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. With a strong background in structural design and a proven track record of delivering complex construction projects, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring structural integrity, design excellence, and compliance across our initiatives. In this role, you will leverage your advanced technical knowledge to oversee structural systems, guide design implementation, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to deliver world-class structural engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strategic thinking, strong analytical capabilities, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety on every project.

  • Lead comprehensive structural design reviews and verification programs across projects, monitoring complex structural systems including foundations, high-rise frameworks, reinforcement strategies, formwork systems, and advanced concrete methodologies to ensure full compliance with approved designs and specifications

  • Oversee proper placement of reinforcement, formwork installation, post-tensioning operations, and concrete sequencing throughout all construction phases, while directing installation and alignment of complex structural components including expansion joints, bearings, and structural connections

  • Evaluate and approve temporary works designs for falsework, scaffolding, and shoring systems, confirming adequate strength, stability, and safety compliance for complex structural scenarios

  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of UAE Building Codes and local authority standards, coordinating with design teams, architects, and relevant authorities to resolve design discrepancies, optimize structural solutions, and address site-specific challenges

  • Maintain comprehensive project records including design documentation, daily and weekly progress reports, material accounting, change orders, and record drawings; issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for any violations or deviations with technical clarity

  • Lead progress review and coordination meetings, providing expert structural design knowledge to resolve complex engineering challenges and foster collaboration with design teams, inspection personnel, and contractors

  • Ensure all structural works comply with Health and Safety regulations and participate actively in quality assurance activities, design validation, and project handover processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related Engineering discipline

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in structural design, engineering, and construction supervision on complex, large-scale projects

  • Proven expertise in structural design methodologies, construction materials, and advanced techniques including post-tensioning and concrete sequencing

  • Strong knowledge of UAE Building Codes and local authority standards

  • Comprehensive knowledge of temporary works design, falsework, scaffolding, and shoring systems

  • Proficiency with CAD software and structural analysis tools

  • Demonstrated expertise in quality assurance, quality control, and Non-Conformance Report (NCR) documentation processes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent technical report writing and documentation abilities

  • Solid understanding of Health and Safety regulations and best practices in construction

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with strong organisational and collaborative abilities

  • Preferred: Direct experience on projects in the United Arab Emirates or the Middle East region

  • Preferred: Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) software and Arabic language skills.

Additional Information

  • 5+ years of experience in UAE as structural engineer, with a focus on building design and analysis

  • Extensive knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE

  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Etabs, Autodesk Robot, SAFE, Staad Pro, should have worked on Roads, bridges, highways, infrastructure mandatory.

  • Proven track record of working on large and complex projects in RTA

  • Experience with sustainable design practices and green building standards

  • Experience with parametric modeling and computational design
