Position Purpose and Overview
The Global Senior Finance Manager (0,8FTE) oversees global finance for a multinational manufacturing group.
The position, located in Lelystad, The Netherlands, involves working closely with manufacturing operations across EMEA, USA, Latam, and APAC regions. It is an excellent fit for someone with Big 4 background or significant experience in manufacturing finance, who excels in complex, global, and operational settings.
This role integrates technical expertise , audit and reporting oversight, and effective business collaboration, serving as a central link for Group Finance across regions.
Key Accountabilities
Lead and support global financial consolidation and preparation of group financial statements.
Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and multi ‑ year financial planning, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
Ensure consistent application of IFRS, group accounting policies, and statutory requirements across international entities.
Develop and maintain global financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support executive decision ‑ making.
Drive manufacturing finance excellence, including:
Cost accounting and variance analysis
Margin analysis by SKU
Overhead absorption and productivity tracking
Inventory valuation and obsolescence management
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and integration across global finance systems and reporting tools (ERP, consolidation, BI).
Provide high ‑ quality financial insights, variance analysis, and performance reporting to Group Finance and the Global Leadership Team.
Drive standardization and continuous improvement of global finance processes, controls, and reporting cycles.
Education Specific certification and knowledge
10–15 years of progressive finance experience, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments.
Background in Big 4 audit, advisory, or accounting, combined with in ‑ house industry experience or equivalent senior industry-only experience with strong technical depth.
Strong expertise in:
Financial reporting and consolidation
Audit management
Internal controls and governance
Hands ‑ on experience with cost accounting, inventory management, and working capital optimization.
Solid understanding of tax, transfer pricing, and compliance in a multinational context.
Comfortable operating in a matrixed, globally governed organization.
Experience with ERP and reporting systems ( e.g. D365, consolidation tools, Power BI).
Desirable Skills/Attributes and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance , Accounting, or Business Economics.
CPA strongly preferred (or equivalent professional qualification).
Strong working knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP.
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
