Operations are funded by toll and concession revenues.\ \ Under the leadership of theBoard of Directors and Executive Staff,the Tollway is committed to achieving the following goals: increase collaboration with regional transportationand planning agencies, promote the regional economy, maintain financial integrity, foster environmental responsibility andsustainability, maintain the safety and efficiency of the Tollway system, further transparency and accountability, enhance customer service, and maintain public trust.\ \ This position operates automotive and construction equipment in the performance of unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled maintenance duties. Performs routine, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Tollway assets including roads, buildings, and land. Plows snow, cuts grass, performs traffic control / channelization, performs emergency incident / crash response activities, and other essential duties for the 24/7/365-day operation of the Tollway. Is subject to call-out for emergency maintenance service at all times. Work activities involve working alone and/or with other Tollway employees.

[The position reports to and receives assignments from the Maintenance Section Manager / Supervisor. At the discretion of the Manager / Supervisor, andin accordance withunion contract, may be assigned to a scheduled shift as needed. On occasion, and as assigned, can serve as crew leader to supervise other Tollway employees on various job assignments. When the conditions arise, will guide and train maintenance employees having less experience by providing knowledge of the work,demonstratingequipment operation, or explaining roadway maintenance procedures.]{lang="EN-US" contrast="none" uw-rm-lang="false"}
