General Description:
- Must report to work each day as scheduled by Dispatcher on time and
ready to work.
- Employee shall call Dispatcher if they are to miss day or report late.
- Must wear required safety clothing and personal safety equipment as required per daily situation.
- Responsible for operating a lowboy truck and trailer to transport heavy construction equipment, machinery and other oversized loads.
- Responsible for safe load and secure cargo: Load and unload equipment safely, and secure chain, strap, and bind the cargo to the trailer according to weight limits and regulations.
- Help with planning routes: Plan efficient and safe route, considering factors like load size and road conditions.
- Responsible for accurate compliance with weight restrictions and proper load distribution.
- Perform minor maintenance. Perform minor servicing on truck and equipment as needed.
- Communicate: Maintain clear communication with dispatch, site formen.
- Follow all safe practice procedures and requirements outlined by George & Lynch policies as well as any applicable regulatory agencies, such as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
