CCL is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP\'s)in New Castle, DEto work with adults with developmental disabilities. The DSP interacts with and supports the individual in a variety of potential settings including community, family or individual homes and generic community settings.

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will have the opportunity to support individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve the quality of life they value.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and care for individuals with high medical needs, including those with quadriplegia, cerebral palsy, and seizure disorders.
• Assist with daily living activities, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs, documenting and reporting any changes in health status.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans.
• Use assistive devices and equipment safely, including wheelchairs, lifts, and other mobility aids.
• Support clients in achieving their personal goals and engaging in social and recreational activities.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and follow all health and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a DSP or in a similar role, with specific experience supporting individuals with high medical needs.
• Strong understanding of proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant training or education is a plus.

Job requirements include:

• Valid drivers license, clean driving record. Must be able to pass a criminal history background, physical and drug screen.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time & PRN

Pay: From \$17.50 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Direct Support: 1 year

License/Certification:

• Driver\'s License with 5 or less points (Required)
