Your job is to: Get students to and from school safely and on time Drive your route confidently in all kinds of weather and traffic Create a respectful, safe environment on the bus Build great connections with students, parents, and school staff Help students who need a little extra assistance getting on or off the bus Keep your vehicle clean, fueled, and ready to roll Handle daily safety checks and basic maintenance Follow all transportation laws, school policies, and route directions What You Bring: A valid Wisconsin Driver\'s License and the willingness to learn! Apply now and start making an impact one ride at a time Drive gasoline, diesel, or electrically powered multi-passenger vehicles to transport students between neighborhoods, schools, and school activities. Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner. Check the condition of a vehicle\'s tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order. Follow safety rules as students board and exit buses or cross streets near bus stops. Keep bus interiors clean for students. Maintain knowledge of first-aid procedures. Maintain order among students during trips to ensure safety. Pick up and drop off students at regularly scheduled neighborhood locations, following strict time schedules. Prepare and submit reports that may include the number of students or trips, hours worked, mileage, or fuel consumption. Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions. Record bus routes. Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for student comfort. Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations, using telephones or mobile two-way radios. Report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs.
