Role Overview
We are seeking a hardworking and reliableGround Laborerto join our production team at our aggregate and concrete facility. This role is essential to the daily operation of our crushing plants, screening systems, and ready-mix batch plants. You will perform a variety of physical tasks to ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and productive, supporting the flow of materials from raw extraction to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Facility Maintenance:Perform manual labor to keep the plant area clear of debris. This includes shoveling spilled material (crushed stone, sand, and gravel) from beneath conveyor belts, screens, and discharge points.
- Production Support:Assist plant operators with the startup, shutdown, and monitoring of crushing and screening equipment.
- Material Handling:Help with the loading and unloading of supplies, moving heavy parts, and assisting in the setup of portable plant equipment.
- Concrete Batch Plant Assistance:Assist in cleaning mixer drums, maintaining aggregate bins, and ensuring the loading area is clear for ready-mix trucks.
- Safety & Compliance:Strictly follow allMSHA(Mine Safety and Health Administration) andOSHAregulations. Identify and report any potential mechanical issues or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
- Dust Control:Operate water hoses or specialized dust suppression equipment to maintain air quality and visibility around the site.
- Manual Repairs:Assist maintenance crews with basic tasks such as replacing conveyor rollers, patching screens, or changing out wear liners.
