Location : Kroc Center Boston – 650 Dudley Street – Dorchester, MA
Hours/week: Full-time
Exemption: Exempt
Pay Range : $65,000 - $75,000 per year*
starting pay varies depending on experience and qualifications
Work Experience and Qualifications
Seven (7) years of experience in physical facilities maintenance management, including the monitoring of repair contracts and warranties.
Must have three to five (3-5) years’ experience supervising staff
Other Qualifications
Thorough understanding of building construction and associated trades
Must exhibit strong leadership qualities and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in spreadsheet, database and software applications
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Must have a working knowledge of OSHA standards and practice
Must be willing and able to work weekends and evenings as required
Must be on-call 24 hrs/7 days
Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
Must be computer literate
Must have a valid driver’s license
Principal Functions
The Facilities Manager will give oversight to the day-to-day operations of the physical facilities of the Boston Kroc Center. This includes all building and utility infrastructure as well as direct supervision of all maintenance staff of the Kroc Center. This position is responsible for ensuring assets are maintained to achieve maximum useful life and safe operation, by supervising or performing various tasks in the installation, repair, maintenance and operation of mechanical, electrical, HVAC and life safety systems throughout the facility.
