Robert Half Application Developer Manager in Doral, Florida
Description
We are seeking an Application Development Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of custom and packaged application development initiatives. This role partners closely with engineering, QA, product, and business stakeholders to ensure applications are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality. The ideal candidate understands software development well enough to manage technical teams while maintaining strong delivery, communication, and risk management discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end application development projects from initiation through deployment and post-release stabilization
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies across cross-functional teams
Partner with engineering teams to plan and execute Agile/Scrum or Hybrid SDLC delivery
Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
Coordinate with product owners and stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly defined and prioritized
Track and report on delivery metrics, milestones, and KPIs to leadership
Identify and proactively mitigate delivery risks, resource constraints, and technical dependencies
Coordinate UAT, release planning, and production deployments
Manage vendors or offshore teams when applicable
Ensure project documentation, status reporting, and communication are accurate and up to date
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Project Manager supporting application or software development initiatives
Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies
Hands-on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar tools
Experience managing cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and business stakeholders
Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, dependencies, and timelines
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in Agile/Scrum, SAFe, or Hybrid environments
Exposure to web, mobile, API, or cloud-based applications
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience coordinating CI/CD pipelines, testing cycles, and releases
Prior experience with vendor or offshore team management
PMP, CSM, or SAFe certification (nice to have)
