Primary Function:

  • This position is responsible for performing material requirement planning and asset scheduling in order to ensure supply and delivery plan within required timeline, quality standards, and total cost constraints.

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Raw material planning and scheduling to fulfill master and detailed production schedule between raw material suppliers, including PO creation, forecast sharing.

  • Create, validate and maintain a valid materials plan based on upon the Master plan and Master production schedule

  • Monitor, analyze, raw material supplier’s performance. ( OTD, Capability, etc.)

  • Recommend disposition of non-productive inventory for internally manufactured semi-finished and finished products, raw materials.

  • Ensure the right materials are procured at the right time, quality and quantity to minimize production and storage costs, based on the material plan.

  • Maintain accurate raw material and supplier master data including planning parameters such as order quantities or lot sizes, lead times and safety stocks.

  • Communicates with manufacturing, plant technical, purchasing, and master scheduling personnel regarding supply problems and their resolutions

  • Participate with manufacturing and/or technology in the structure of Material Master/BOM’s/recipes.

  • Highlight critical items and escalate to key functions/leadership in a timely manner in order to prevent any business crisis in advance and keep having the strong ownership until it's resolved

  • Issue detailed schedule for each asset based on a final time-phased production plan.

  • Manage daily production schedules during planning horizon.

  • Works with manufacturing to optimize the plant schedule along with manufacturing capabilities.

  • Assure schedule is continually maintained and communicated throughout the supply chain.

  • Highlight and actively participate in the identification and resolution of inventory, customer order issues, and quality issues as they develop. Work closely with Master scheduler and order planning personnel.

  • Works with manufacturing to optimize the plant schedule along with manufacturing capabilities.

  • Co-ordinates the production planning with maintenance planning and scheduling needs.

  • Validate material availability against asset schedule.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering, Material management, Supply Chain degree required

  • 3 years’ experience working in supply chain organization

  • 1 year of planning system experience (ex: APO, OMP, SAP)

  • Experience in Semiconductor business

  • APICs CPIM certification

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage by influence

  • Broad flexibility and aptitude to work in a team, across multiple functions.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred

  • Fluent in English

  • Skilled at using systems (Important) – SAP/ MS software(Power BI/Power Apps/Copilot)
