In Ireland, Abbott currently employs about 6,000 people across ten sites located in Dublin, Donegal, Clonmel, Cootehill, Galway, Kilkenny, Longford and Sligo.

Primary Function :

The Training & Document Control Lead is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness, compliance, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s training and documentation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The primary responsibility of the Training & Document Control Lead is to manage the Training and Document Control function, ensuring itoperatesefficiently and meets all customer and business requirements.

  • Lead a team of Quality Engineers & Training Specialists supporting the quality system.

  • Make improvements to the quality systemensuringsite complianceis strengthenedand regulatory requirements are met.

  • Present and communicate status updates and reporting metrics,identifyingtrends, potential issues, and improvement initiatives, asapplicable

  • Ensure area of responsibility and processes arealways audit readyand all auditsare supportedfrom a resource and information request perspective.

  • Support internal and external audits as Area SME.

  • Support the implementation of upgrades and new releases of document management and training systems to meet evolving business needs.

  • Cultivate a high performing team by developing employees and enabling their continued growth and advancement in the organisation.

  • Build andmaintaineffective cross functional relationships with all areas of the business.

  • Maintainan appropriate balanceof quality, compliance, and business risk. Provide compliant yet practical solutions that minimise the impact of Quality issues.

  • Identifyand implement initiatives for continuous improvement of the Quality System.

  • Provide divisional level support and guidance as SME for area of responsibility.

  • Ensureeffective communication and leadership to management and other staff on training and document control issues.

  • Ensure approaches to Quality and Compliance are consistently applied within the business and across theDivision

  • Responsible for leadingthe development and maintenance of Quality System procedures whichare applicableto area of responsibility.

  • Present and communicate status, report metrics,identifytrends potential issues, improvement initiatives, asapplicable

  • Providedivisional level support and guidance as SME for area ofresponsibility

  • Responsible forcompliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Years Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: BSc/BEng scientific,NFQ qualificationinrelated discipline or an equivalent combination of education & work experience.

  • Minimum 5year’s experiencein a Quality/Regulated Manufacturing or Science environment preferred.

  • Candidate must be self-motivated withexceptional organisational andcommunication skills.

  • Work within a team environment

  • Involvementwith ongoingDepartment andsite wide projects.

  • MembershipofCrossFunctionalTeams as part of continuous improvement opportunities.
