Manufacturing Technology Engineer II
The Manufacturing Technology Engineer II role will act as the Industry 4.0 technical SME. The e ngineer will h elp us drive the transformation of our manufacturing processes into the fourth industrial revolution. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identif y areas of improvement and develop solutions that leverag e simulations , automation, artificial intelligence, and other Industry 4.0 technologies.
Essential Functions
Design, develop, and implement smart factory solutions that help to optimize production processes and improve overall efficiency
Develop and maintain detailed project plans and manage project timelines to ensure successful implementation of Industry 4.0 initiatives
Identify opportunities for automation, robotics, digital twins, machine learning, and other digital technologies to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of Industry 4.0 solutions to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, network, and IT to design and deploy Industry 4.0 solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and quality
Work with vendors and suppliers to evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools.
Proactively report on project progress against schedule.
Recognize potential problems with existing equipment and develop solutions with the ability to adapt to various engineering designs, applications, and process criteria.
Work with internal stakeholders to identify their requirements and develop innovative solutions that meet and exceed these needs.
Create and organize documentation on all MT solutions to facilitate knowledge transfer to Niagara manufacturing sites.
Proactively engage with customers in order to define the overall technical approach for Manufacturing Technology solutions.
Maintain technical skills and knowledge and keep them continuously updated .
Participate in strategic and tactical planning sessions.
This position requires 40%-60 % travel.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
2 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
2 Years – Experience in Position
0-1 Years – Experience managing people/projects
- experience may include a combination of work experience and education
Preferred Qualifications:
4 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
4 Years – Experience working in Position
2 Years – Experience managing people/projects
- experience may include a combination of work experience and education
Competencies
Detai l -Oriented with Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong exposure to Manufacturing Technologies including MES, LMS, CMMS, automated data collection, visualization, quality, efficiency in manufacturing, automated decision control, workflow, database applications, scheduling, and interface to ERP systems.
Proficiency in, but not limited to:
Microsoft Office Applications – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Projects, Visio, etc.
Efficiency Improvement Analysis Applications
New System Implementation & Administration
Able to translate data into recommendable actions to senior staff
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-Motivated with a proven record of taking the initiative

Education
Minimum Required:
Bachelor's Degree with a preference in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering.
Preferred:
Master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering

$87,360.12 - $126,672.19 / Yearly
