FLC Farm Worker in Dexter, Michigan

REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available the entire work period of 3/23/26-12/1/26. Must agree to 40 hr work week. Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. Must read, and agree to, all terms and conditions of employment prior to a referral to the employer.

*SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: *Must have at least 3 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 60 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling, drug screen.

*JOB DUTIES: *Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. FARM LABORER: Farm Laborer: Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: maintain varieties of ornamental trees and shrubs; plant, transplant and harvest nursery stock; prepare soil, fields and tree blocks for planting; tree block maintenance, including mowing, weed whipping, and applying fertilizers; dig and remove planted ornamental trees/plants from field; load and unload trees and supplies manually and with farm equipment; perform general maintenance and clean up, including removing debris, rocks and other trash on the farm, weed control by hand and other methods, and cutting grass; scraping old trees; pruning; staking; irrigation installation and maintenance; drive and operate skid-steer, tractor, auger, mower, tractor loader, or other farm vehicle as directed on farm property only. Pay will be hourly. Other duties assigned under this order will be consistent under Bureau of Labor Statistics Standard Occupational Classification: Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery and Greenhouse Workers (45-2092)

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:

BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.

HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.

TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).

*WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: *Provided.

TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
