ND job order 924490 Temporary seasonal position from 3/3/2026 to 11/30/2026 The worker will drive and operate a variety of agricultural equipment to assist in the cultivation, planting, maintenance, and harvesting of crops on a 4,000-acre farm producing small grains, soybeans, and corn. Duties include operating tractors, sprayers, harvesters, and other farm machinery to perform tasks such as tilling soil, applying fertilizer and pesticides, seeding, and harvesting crops. The worker will conduct pre-operation checks, monitor equipment during use, and perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation. Additional responsibilities include transporting crops from fields to storage locations, assisting with loading and unloading materials, and preparing equipment for storage at the end of the season. Work is performed exclusively on the employer's farm premises in Devils Lake, North Dakota. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to maintaining safety and productivity standards during peak planting and harvest periods. The worker may also assist with general farm labor and upkeep of the farm site as needed, depending on seasonal demand. This position is essential to completing time-sensitive field operations due to limited availability of qualified local labor during the employer's busiest months from March through November. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday. No experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level I Entry Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level I Entry Level, indicating that the job requires limited experience and routine supervision consistent with entry-level duties. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
