Westrock *** Forklift Operator, "Loader"- 1st Shift in Devens, Massachusetts
Forklift Operator \"Loader\"- DEVENS, MA (FULL-TIME: \$21.76-\$25.11/HR) Forklift, \"Loader\" Opportunity Summary: - Operate industrial forklifts to load/unload trucks and move materials in a high-volume corrugated manufacturing facility (up to \25 trailers/day). - Inspect forklift each shift, complete checklists, change propane/batteries as needed. - Use RF scanner; verify counts, quantities, quality, and paperwork for receipts/shipments. - Palletize/stretch-wrap units, service production lines, perform inventory/cycle counts, keep warehouse/loading docks clean. - Cross-train and share duties with other drivers; assist other departments and perform assigned tasks. - Work in a non-climate-controlled plant. Pay: - \$21.76 - \$25.11 per hour (depends on experience, role, location). - Overtime paid at time-and-a-half for hours over 40. Shift & Schedule: - 1st and 2nd shift openings. - Monday-Friday with scheduled mandatory overtime (may include weekends/other shifts as required). - Must maintain good attendance and be available for overtime. Requirements / Experience: - High school diploma or GED. - Valid driver\'s license. - Forklift experience in a high-volume/high-speed environment preferred; recent forklift certification (within 12 months) preferred but training available. - Basic English reading/writing and communication skills; able to read tape measure and perform basic arithmetic (decimals, fractions, ratios). - Ability to learn proprietary manufacturing software. - Ability to perform physical tasks: sit/stand/walk/bend/kneel/navigate stairs and drive in reverse. - Must pass background check and drug test (includes THC). - Must be available for overtime/weekend work.
