Quality Control inspects work in process & final product to ensure it meets RIM quality standards.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES • Proficient in assigned welding techniques including metal inert gas (MIG) and gas metal arc (GMAW). • Inspect product using gauges, coordinate measuring machine, protractor, coating thickness meter, and vision prior to shipment • Generate & complete spreadsheets for final inspection data collection • Provide support to production supervisors in identifying quality issues & helping to mitigate. • Notify management or follow containment protocol when a systemic quality issue is discovered to minimize impact to customer and to production, as well as to minimize internal rework. • Periodic verification of gages used in production according to quality procedures. • All other duties as assigned by supervisor
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS • High School Diploma KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES: • One-year experience in a Quality Technician role. • Strong attention to detail. • Ability to problem solve. • Ability to read a tape measure. • Able to read and interpret design drawings including blue prints and specifications
