* JOB SUMMARY AND DUTIES*
- Performs quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests on patient specimens according to standard laboratory formulas and procedures.
- Prepares samples for testing, analyzes test results, calculates test findings, and maintains records.
- Prepares and determines validity of solutions, reagents, media stains and various materials in the testing process.
- Processes and tests all types of laboratory specimens and reviews and reports lab results.
- Performs operational duties, maintenance and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Acts as a resource for other laboratory personnel.
Specified shift: Must work afternoon shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in medical technology, biology, medical laboratory science, or related; one (1) year of experience as a medical technologist I, medical technologist, or related; registered with ASCP, NCA, AMT or CSMLS.
