ManpowerGroup Material Area Supervisor in Detroit, Michigan
Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking a dedicated Material Area Supervisor to join their team. As a Material Area Supervisor, you will be part of the Material Handling / Production Operations department supporting the efficient and safe movement of materials within the plant. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Material Area Supervisor
Location: Detroit, MI
Pay Range: up-to $41.00 (based on experience)
Shift: Must be open to 1st and 2nd shifts, with potential rotation based on plant needs
What's the Job?
Lead teams to achieve targets in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale.
Oversee material receiving, storage, line delivery, and inventory accuracy.
Ensure timely and efficient material flow to support production needs.
Coordinate daily work assignments and resolve operational issues.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to plant standards.
What's Needed?
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong computer proficiency: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
Proven ability to lead, communicate, and coach teams in a high-volume environment.
Ability to work 1st and 2nd shift; must be flexible to rotate if required.
Experience in a unionized work environment or exposure to lean manufacturing is preferred but not required.
