General Services Department - Parks & Recreation Division
Summer Seasonal
Locker Facility Attendant Male
Under immediate supervision, assists with maintenance activities in locker rooms, showers, and changing areas.
Examples of Duties
Conducts check-in service for patrons’ clothing and personal items.
Ensures pool, locker, restroom, and shower areas are kept clean, orderly, and well-maintained using appropriate cleaning supplies.
Notifies guests regarding pool rules, signage, and applicable requirements of pool area.
Assists in maintaining equipment around pool areas.
May issue and collect locker keys.
Arranges baskets and other related equipment in proper order.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications (required):
- At least 17 years of age with completion of two (2) years of high school.
Qualifications (preferred):
- One (1) year of public contact, customer service, or maintenance related work experience.
Licensing and Certifications
- Individuals entering this class are required to complete a training course in basic first aid and CPR within 90 days of hire.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of materials and methods used in the maintenance of showers, pools, beach areas and restrooms.
Skill in utilizing basic equipment and tools used to maintain the cleanliness of showers, pools, and restrooms.
Ability to interact with the public and departmental personnel in a tactful manner.
Ability to communicate effectively with departmental personnel and the general public.
Ability to clean debris from floors and perform other custodial duties.
Physical Demands
- Work assignments involve bending, stooping, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment
- Employees in this class must have sufficient agility to maintain locker room, pool, shower, and beach areas.
