The Opportunity
We are seeking a Field Leader for the role of Electrical Construction Manager. This position is for the construction professional who is ready to run our largest, most complex, and highest-value mega data center projects with a focus on electrical installation and commissioning. You will own the entire physical execution process, directing all field activities, managing multi-disciplinary trade superintendents, and ensuring zero-incident safety and world-class quality from ground-breaking through mechanical completion. This is a role for a proven expert who thrives in a dynamic, high-stakes on-site environment.
Location
You can be based anywhere in the U.S., but you must have an unwavering ability to travel and live on-site at client projects for extended, long-term assignments.
Responsibilities
Your Key Responsibilities
Large-Scale Site Leadership: Serve as the ultimate authority on-site, directly responsible for the safe, timely, and quality execution of all construction activities across vast, complex projects.
Direct Supervisory Command: Directly manage, mentor, and lead the team of Senior Superintendents, Superintendents, and General Forepersons. Hold all field management accountable for project milestones and craft productivity.
Safety Excellence: Enforce aggressive, zero-incident safety program that exceeds company standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct detailed safety audits and lead all corrective action documentation.
Trade Coordination Mastery: Plan, schedule, and orchestrate the complex interfaces and workflow sequencing among all trade groups, managing high volumes of people and specialized equipment.
Labor Relations: Maintain effective communication with local unions and resolve high-level labor and jurisdictional construction problems on-site to maintain project momentum.
Quality and Compliance: Own the on-site Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) program, ensuring all work is executed precisely to specifications, drawings, and regulatory codes before sign-off.
Logistics & Resource Control: Oversee the procurement, delivery, and staging of all major materials and equipment. Ensure materials, equipment, and inspections are available precisely when needed to support aggressive project schedules.
Physical Resource Management: Maximize the efficiency of all physical resources, including heavy equipment, specialized tooling, and bulk materials, ensuring logistics support the aggressive master schedule.
Problem Resolution: Act as the final on-site decision-maker for resolving all immediate field issues, technical roadblocks, coordination conflicts, and material sequencing challenges to maintain flow.
Risk Mitigation: Take the lead in identifying, assessing, and mitigating on-site project risks related to scheduling, resources, safety, and trade coordination.
Documentation Support: Ensure the field team provides timely and accurate input for daily reports, progress photos, time tracking, and short-term look-ahead schedules to support the Project Manager and office staff.
Innovation: Continuously seek ways to optimize field processes and improve project outcomes through innovative construction technologies or methodologies.
