Henry Ford Health System Document Center Specialist in Detroit, Michigan
The Document Center Print Production Specialist plays a vital role in the Creative Services department, ensuring the smooth production of high-quality printed materials. This role involves managing various print projects from start to finish while maintaining top standards of accuracy and efficiency. Key duties include operating digital printing presses, calibrating, and maintaining advanced printing and finishing equipment to guarantee consistent, high-quality results. The specialist collaborates with designers and creative team members to troubleshoot technical issues and maintain brand consistency across all outputs. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
Education:High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in a related field preferred
Experience:Minimum two (2) years operating digital copy machines
Graphic/Print Equipment:Experience operating modern graphic arts equipment used in copying and typesetting using current computer programs
Computer Skills:Demonstrated competency in basic computer skills, including proficiency inMS Office Suite
Print Production:Good knowledge of and interest in print production
Communication:Ability to interact and communicate effectively with Document Center staff and department users
Work Style:Ability to work independently with minimal supervision within a team structure
Organization & Decision-Making:Ability to organize and prioritize workload with quick decision-making skills to handle a high-pressure environment
Department Knowledge:Knowledgeable in all aspects of department operations to provide the best possible solutions to customers
Desktop Publishing:Good working knowledge of desktop publishing, including networking and digital print solutions, and technical solutions for print requirements
Equipment Operation:Mechanical ability and knowledge required to operate all Document Center bindery and finishing equipment
Troubleshooting:Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve technical difficulties that may occur
