Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
This role supports a high-volume production line in a clean, well-organized manufacturing facility. You will operate and tend CNC machines and presses, handle 40-pound parts, and use an overhead crane as part of a Three Rivers production project on the 31XX line. The position focuses on safely producing quality parts to specification while working a steady 3rd-shift schedule with mandatory overtime.
Responsibilities
Load and unload CNC machines and presses with 40-pound parts in a fast-paced production environment.
Operate machinery and production equipment safely and efficiently on the 31XX line.
Use hand tools to assemble parts on a production line according to work instructions.
Measure parts to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
Add covers to finished axles before they enter the paint line, ensuring proper fit and placement.
Use an overhead crane to move parts and materials as needed, following all safety procedures.
Lift, carry, and move axles and other materials between machines, including overhead lifting when required.
Perform repetitive bending, lifting, and twisting throughout the shift while maintaining safe body mechanics.
Follow all safety guidelines, including use of required personal protective equipment and adherence to facility rules.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production issues, quality concerns, or equipment problems.
Support overtime and schedule requirements, including working a 6-day week when mandatory overtime is in effect.
Essential Skills
Prior experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
Proven ability to consistently lift and handle 40-pound parts throughout a 10-hour shift.
Capability to perform frequent bending, lifting, twisting, and overhead lifting safely.
Comfort working with and around CNC machines, presses, and other production equipment.
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools for assembly tasks.
Ability to read and use measuring tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
Reliable attendance and willingness to work mandatory overtime, including a 6-day workweek when required.
High school diploma or GED.
Ownership of and ability to wear steel-toed boots or shoes as required personal protective equipment.
Strong commitment to safety and following established procedures on a production floor.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience operating CNC machines, presses, or similar production machinery.
Familiarity with overhead crane operation in a manufacturing setting.
Comfort working on a structured production line with repetitive tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail when measuring parts and inspecting for quality.
Willingness to transition to direct employment with the company, which requires a high school diploma or GED.

Work Environment
The role is based on a warehouse and production floor that is described as very clean and well lit, with safety as a top priority. You work on the 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with current operations requiring mandatory overtime and a 6-day workweek. The work involves operating CNC machines, presses, and an overhead crane, handling 40-pound parts, and performing repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift. The dress code includes jeans, a shirt without logos or vulgar language, and steel-toed boots or shoes. The facility culture emphasizes safe work practices, adherence to procedures, and maintaining an orderly production area.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
