Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – $80/hr – Des Plaines, IL – In-Person – 16 WeeksPosition Overview:
The Speech-Language Pathologist provides school-based evaluation and therapy services to students with communication needs. This role includes conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering direct therapy, documenting student progress, and collaborating with educational teams to support each student’s language development and academic success.
Assignment Details:
Location: Des Plaines, IL
Start Date: 02/17/2026
Duration: 16 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 35 hours per week
Pay Rate: $80/hour
Modality: In-person
Openings: 1 position
Caseload Details:
Serving 42–50 students
Communication needs vary across articulation, language, fluency, social-pragmatic, and related speech-language areas
District EA/monitor support already in place
Bonus Structure:
$500 after 30 days worked
$500 upon assignment completion
Interview Requirement:
- Virtual interview with Special Education leadership
Responsibilities:
Conduct speech-language evaluations and write reports
Provide direct therapy aligned with students’ IEP goals
Collect and analyze progress-monitoring data
Create and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
Communicate regularly with families and IEP team members
Support students’ language development across academic environments
Provide CCC Fellowship supervision if qualified
Requirements:
Active Illinois SLP PEL (Professional Educator License) required
CCC-SLP preferred
CPR certification if applicable
TB screening and health certificate per state guidelines
Must meet all federal, state, and local regulations
Must be at least 18 years old
