? About the Role

The Senior Machinist serves as a technical expert within the Manufacturing Department. You will support both engineering and production by leading complex machining operations, mentoring team members, and contributing to process improvements. This role is ideal for a master-level machinist who thrives in a collaborative, detail‑oriented, safety‑focused environment.

?️ What You’ll Do

  • Lead complex setups and operations for CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision components.

  • Troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and optimize machining processes.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on manufacturability reviews, prototyping, and process development.

  • Train and mentor machinists, technicians, and engineers on machining best practices, safety, and equipment usage.

  • Recommend and implement tooling, fixture, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.

✔️ What You’ll Need

  • Extensive knowledge of CNC and manual machining, including tooling, fixturing, and complex setups.

  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills with a focus on process optimization.

  • Experience partnering with engineering teams on prototypes and design-for-manufacturing reviews.

  • Demonstrated ability to train and mentor others in machining techniques and safety standards.

  • Solid understanding of machine shop safety procedures and equipment maintenance practices.
