Join CBRE as a Senior Facilities Manager, where you’ll take charge of a dynamicportfolio of manufacturing facilities (approximately 22 sites) across Colorado,Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota, totaling 6.9 million squarefeet. This role can be based Chicago IL, Aurora CO, Pueblo CO or Des Moines IA.
In this position, you will play a key role in supporting oneof our client’s in the government and defense sector, ensuring their high-security,high-impact manufacturing environments—ensuring operational reliability,regulatory compliance, and excellence across all locations.

As the Senior Facilities Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑dayoperations and maintenance across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring assetreliability, safety, and a consistently exceptional client experience. You willalso collaborate closely with Property Managers and landlords to ensureseamless coordination and high‑quality service delivery throughout the entire 6.9million‑square‑foot portfolio.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and coordinate facility repairs and maintenance by partnering with technicians, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely and high-quality service.
Foster strong client relationships through proactive communication and regular meetings to address and resolve facility-related concerns.
Plan, prepare, and manage large-scale and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports with precision and strategic oversight.
This role requires up to 30% travel to other locations to support operational and business needs.
Conduct facility inspections and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining high standards of quality assurance.
Identify opportunities for operational improvements, repairs, and upgrades, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and performance.
Develop and enforce environmental health and safety procedures tailored to each facility’s needs.
Build and maintain vendor relationships, oversee invoicing processes, and review and approve purchase orders for parts, services, and labor.
Apply broad business and technical knowledge to align facilities operations with departmental goals and cross-functional initiatives.
Provide formal supervision to staff, including performance evaluations, coaching, training, and development planning.
Manage daily team operations by setting work schedules, assigning tasks, cross-training staff, and tracking departmental deadlines.
Serve as a mentor and role model, promoting CBRE’s RISE values and influencing others through leadership and collaboration.
Solve complex technical and operational challenges with a strategic and solutions-oriented mindset.
Recognize and address the broader impact of decisions across the department, driving continuous improvement in methods, processes, and standards.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree preferred with 5–8 years of relevant experience; a combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Facility Management certification (e.g., IFMA, BOMA) is preferred.
Experience managing a minimum of 2 million square feet of commercial property, with manufacturing environments preferred.
Proven experience in budget management, including accruals, deferrals, and variance reporting.
Requires experience overseeing and coordinating multiple vendors.
Demonstrated success in staffing, training, development, coaching, performance management, and retention strategies.
Strong ability to communicate complex and sensitive information clearly and effectively, while setting expectations and resolving challenges.
Requires experience supervising and leading manager-level employees.Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and drive alignment of operational goals across roles and functions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related applications.
Excellent organizational skills and a proactive, curious mindset.
Solid understanding of financial and operational math, including percentages, fractions, and other calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Senior Facilities Manager position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Senior Facilities Manager position is $135,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
