What you will do:
You’ll be the go-to technical expert in the lab; leading advanced analytical work, solving tough problems, and helping elevate how we operate every day.
Support R&D, product development, and QC/QA with strong hands-on analytical expertise
Lead method development, optimization, and validation (GC, HPLC, spectrophotometry, wet chemistry)
Design and run experiments (DOE) to better understand processes and improve products
Tackle analytical challenges head-on, troubleshoot deviations, and lead root cause investigations
Serve as a subject matter expert in lipid chemistry and feed ingredient analysis
Help ensure our lab runs safely, accurately, and in line with regulatory expectations
Support maintenance, calibration, and validation of lab instruments and systems
Mentor lab technicians and junior chemists, providing day-to-day technical guidance
Strengthen onboarding and training by sharing knowledge and best practices
Support and optimize LIMS processes to ensure strong data integrity and traceability
Contribute to SOPs, validation protocols, and technical documentation
Review data and help prepare clear, actionable reports for internal teams
Provide analytical support to plant operations when needed
Stay current on new analytical technologies and bring fresh ideas back to the team
Opportunity to lead and manage a small laboratory team while continuing to stay hands-on technically.
Requirements
What You Will Bring:
A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of hands-on analytical chemistry experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or R&D setting
Strong experience developing and validating methods using GC and HPLC
Comfort guiding or mentoring other lab team members
Experience working with LIMS and maintaining strong data and documentation practices
Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly communicate findings and technical insights
