Job Title: Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift Job Description
The Production Shift Supervisor directs the production team in the formulation, packaging, and assembly of products on assigned line(s) to meet customer requirements and quality standards while maximizing productivity. This position involves collaborating with the team to ensure safety, environmental control, and inventory management.
Responsibilities
Set up equipment for production lines and organize assignments for workers.
Train and supervise the team on the process line.
Complete or supervise the completion of all production batch sheets, OPM production entry, and QA processes/procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure compliance with all specified QA control methods and documentation.
Produce productivity reports for leadership on a routine basis.
Supervise multiple crews and processes if necessary.
Accurately track labor hours for job costing using Kronos.
Operate formulation and/or packaging equipment, forklifts, hoists, and other material handling equipment when necessary.
Assist in equipment clean-out and packaging equipment movement.
Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure adherence to production or quality standards.
Identify and package all waste associated with the production line.
Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning teams, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results on shift production summaries.
Monitor adherence to all plant safety rules and regulations.
Maintain working knowledge of all aspects of the operation including raw materials, packaging materials, contract specifications, waste handling, and safety procedures.
Maintain a clean work environment using good housekeeping habits.
Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Five years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
Mechanical and maintenance skills.
Ability to operate and understand electronic controlled equipment.
Understanding of pneumatics, pressure, and the pumping of liquids.
Knowledge of pumps and valves.
Ability to use computers and learn to use Kronos for recording labor hours.
Ability to stand for long periods in extreme hot or cold temperatures.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of Oracle is preferred.
Communicating in Spanish is a valuable skill.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office are required.
May need to pass OSHA respirator physical.
Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as scheduled.

Work Environment
This position is on the 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, 2pm-11:30pm or 4pm-12:30am during peak season. The supervisor will oversee a formulation team of 2-3 people on the night shift, working with various groups to get the final product to the packaging department. Employees are required to wear uniforms, steel-toed boots, hair nets, and may be asked to shower after their shift.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $62400.00/yr.
