The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND .
Your Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Student – Data & Analytics for Deere & Company located in Des Moines, IA you will:
• Apply analytics techniques to clean, preprocess, explore, and analyze data to generate actionable insights for Ag Engineering
• Collaborate in a fun, friendly, and fast‑paced team environment, partnering across disciplines and with key stakeholders
• Communicate insights clearly by presenting findings in meetings and translating results into reports and dashboards
• Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards when working with sensitive information

What Skills You Need
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Software Engineering, or a related field
Graduation date of Spring 2027 or later
Experience with Python, PySpark, and/or SQL programming languages
Experience analyzing text and/or numeric data and creating data visualizations
Independent learner and problem solver with high-level attention to detail and accuracy
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Available to work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
Available to work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
Must be able to commute to the work location in Ankeny, IA during the summer
Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited college/university
What Makes You Stand Out
• Experience using Databricks, Tableau, or similar platforms and applications
• Experience using source control tools such as Git for branching, merging, and resolving conflicts
• Strong people, relationship-building, and communication skills. Ability to develop productive working relationships with a wide variety of teams and leaders
• Project management experience including plan development, requirements gathering, delivery, and deployment
• Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis
