Job Title: Plant Maintenance Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Manager to oversee all plant maintenance and electrical functions, ensuring the installation, service, repair, and preventative maintenance activities are conducted efficiently. This role demands compliance with company safety policies, industry standards, and government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all plant maintenance and electrical functions, including installation, service, repair, and preventative maintenance activities.

  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, industry standards, and applicable government regulations, including SAFE and MSHA requirements.

  • Direct preventative and corrective maintenance programs to maintain plant operational availability above 90%.

  • Oversee parts and components management, purchasing, inventory control, budgeting, and capital project execution.

  • Develop and implement standardized maintenance procedures that promote quality craftsmanship and operational consistency.

  • Utilize daily key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive maintenance excellence and improve operational performance.

  • Build, coach, and develop maintenance team members into future leaders while fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

  • Act as a collaborative team builder, clearly communicating expectations and coordinating with plant leadership and production teams.

  • Troubleshoot, isolate, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment; interpret schematics and technical documentation as needed.

  • Complete and maintain all required documentation and maintenance records.

  • Perform additional operational duties as required to support plant operations.

Essential Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of industrial mechanics and equipment operation.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Proven ability to adapt departmental plans and priorities in response to operational and resource challenges.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and hands-on maintenance experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with maintenance planning software, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, electrical systems, mechanical maintenance, conveyors, and welding.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position operating on the 1st shift from 6am to 4:30pm within a manufacturing plant environment. The plant operates across three shifts, including frequent weekend operations, and may require coverage beyond standard business hours. The work environment includes high and low temperature conditions and loud noise levels typical of industrial manufacturing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $81620.00 - $106000.00/yr.
