Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description
Join our team as a General Production Worker, where you'll play a crucial role in assembling 'bunker walls,' akin to completing a puzzle. Your tasks will include using saws, drills, and tape measures to meet specifications, lifting over 50 lbs consistently, and assembling fabricated parts to complete the bunker wall. You will also conduct quality checks and interpret blueprints to ensure precision.
Responsibilities
Assemble 'bunker walls' using various tools.
Utilize saws, drills, and tape measures according to specifications.
Consistently lift materials weighing over 50 lbs.
Assemble fabricated parts for bunker walls.
Conduct thorough quality checks.
Interpret and work from blueprints.
Essential Skills
Experience in general production, general labor, and assembly.
Proficiency in blueprint reading.
Skillful in using hand tools and power tools.
Experience in steel manufacturing and structural assembly.
Capability in machine operation and troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High attention to detail.
Ability to use a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch.
High reliability and dependability.
Experience in construction or general labor is a plus.

Work Environment
Work on the 2nd shift from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM, Monday through Thursday. Dress code includes jeans, steel toe boots, and work-appropriate shirts. Please note that the facility is not temperature-controlled, offering a dynamic and hands-on work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.26 - $22.26/hr.
