Job Title: Production Formulator

Job Description

As a Production Formulator, you will be responsible for processing raw materials and chemicals by following batch records to create the final product. You will operate various machines to measure and mix raw materials accurately and will take samples for quality control testing. This role involves physical work, such as pushing materials from bags using large mixing devices and climbing stairs to access the top of tanks. Attention to detail is crucial as you will sign off on documents to verify the correct type and amount of materials are used. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Due to chemical exposure, a full uniform and respirator mask are required.

Responsibilities

  • Process raw materials and chemicals according to batch records.

  • Operate machines to measure and mix materials accurately.

  • Take samples for lab quality control testing.

  • Lift large plastic bags using a crane.

  • Sign off on documentation for material use.

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in machine operation, utility or production technician roles.

  • Ability to read batch records and recipes.

  • Proficiency in checking balances and measuring chemicals.

  • Strong mathematical skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to report accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Dependability and initiative.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
