Price Electric Electrical Foreman in Des Moines, Iowa
PRICE ELECTRIC is seeking an Electrical Foreman to assist in leading projects in the Des Moines area. The Foreman supervises job site teams and ensures work is fully completed safely and efficiently and meets industry standards and Company and customer expectations. This position is the primary on-site point of contact for Company personnel, General Contractors, Subcontractors and fellow trades.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safety Compliance
Actively foster a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all regulations, PPE requirements, and company and customer processes
Conduct timely JHAs, safety inspections and observations, or near miss incident reports and communicate that safety is a top priority to all team members
Technical Expertise
Demonstrate in depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes and standards and be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
Utilize technology (Procore, BIM, Rivet, Remarcable, Outlook, Teams, etc.) to complete daily tasks and maintain accurate project records
Planning and Scheduling
Participate in project meetings and effectively plan and schedule resources to finish projects on time
Prepare and manage schedules and maintain at least a 2-week look ahead coordinate with all other contractors
Resource Management and Productivity
Monitor production/progress and adjust plans as needed to control costs and meet timelines
Manage inventory by proactively ordering, allocating and managing resources and mitigate any project disruptions
Leadership and Management
Motivate, direct, and supervise a team to achieve project goals through positive culture, clear expectations and goals for team members
Enforce all policies (safety, quality, productivity, etc.) and address conflicts and performance issues promptly
Evaluate team members on skill proficiency, progress and development and mentor apprentices in on the job trainings
Communication
Keep all team members, superintendents, project managers, customers, stakeholders, etc. informed of project updates and status
Respond to questions or issues, including requests for information or change orders
Quality Control
Ensure all work meets required standards and conduct regular inspections to address deficiencies or issues
Supervise and train team members to maintain a high standard of workmanship
Education and/or Experience
Accredited electrician apprentice school graduate with 5+ years of market relevant electrical experience, or equivalent post-high school/GED electrical trade education and on the job training
OSHA 10 certification
Appropriate active electrical license, a Journeyman Electrician license may be required depending on work to be performed
Valid driver's license and insurability for site travel is preferred

Possess strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety & health regulations, and construction documentation

Working Environment and Physical Demands
This position is performed in the field at construction sites and must meet deadlines which may include working extended hours, up to and including evenings and weekends. There is frequent work in the elements - indoor and outdoor environments and PPE is required when onsite. This employee is frequently required to communicate effectively, walk, and stand, and occasionally required to bend, twist, reach overhead, and complete repetitive movements. Persons in this position must be able to distinguish colors and have functioning vision with or without corrective lenses to allow for regular and frequent computer usage, driving a motor vehicle and manipulating a variety of terrains. Persons in this position must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds regularly.
