Aerotek 1st Shift MIG Welder in Denver, Pennsylvania
Job Title: MIG Welder
Essential Skills
Solid MIG welding experience, preferably in a custom fabrication environment.
At least 1–2 years of welding training or hands-on welding experience.
Experience welding thin-gauge sheet metal, especially 16 to 14 gauge materials.
Ability to weld carbon steel and willingness to work with stainless steel when required.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and shop drawings.
Strong ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for layout and fabrication.
Experience with thin-gauge metal fabrication processes, including layout, tacking, and welding seams.
Comfort working with standard metal fabrication tools and equipment such as press brakes, shears, grinders, rollers, saws, drills, and plasma cutters.
Ability to adapt to varying product requirements in a job shop environment.
Reliability to work early morning shifts and extended hours, including overtime, as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in a custom or job shop metal fabrication environment.
Experience working on dust collection, ventilation, or ductwork systems.
Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques beyond welding, such as forming and rolling.
Willingness to cross-train in multiple shop roles and support team members in various tasks.
No formal welding certifications required, but any welding coursework or technical training is beneficial.
Strong motivation, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Denver, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
