Our Technical
will
be responsible
for
assisting
with complex accounting matters, such as equity-based compensation, valuation and accounting for business combinations, and research and documentation of other complex accounting topics. This position will report to the
Director
of Financial Reporting, Corporate and Technic
al Accounting and will interact closely with various departments across Zayo, including Accounting, Investor Relations, Finance and Tax
.
The position will also
assist
the financial reporting team in the
timely
filing of all quarterly and annual financial statements, including the audit process.
Responsibilities
- Research, analyze and document Zayo's position in complex accounting matters, including revenue and lease transactions, business combinations, debt and equity instruments, pensions,consolidationsand other non-routine accounting transactions
- Present and explain the implications ofvarious typesof transactions to business partners and leaders across Zayo, including senior management and executives
- Develop,documentand educate others on Zayo's accounting policies
- Support the external audit process, including coordinating requests for support, responding to auditorinquiriesandassistingwith other audit-related matters asrequired
- Assistin initiating,implementingand executing process improvements and controls
- Oversee the preparation and submission of certain statistical and regulatory filings
- Participate in other projects as necessary, including offerings for debt or equity instruments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's and/orMaster's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Actively licensed CPA
- Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years ofnationalpublic accounting experience or a combination of public accounting and industry experience with SEC reporting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting and filing requirements
- Ability to research, analyze and synthesize conclusions for various accounting and financial reporting issues
- Ability to work independently,demonstrateinitiative, and exercise judgment in a fast paced and changing environment
- Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and produce quality work while dealing with interruptions
- Strong planning, organizational andproblem solvingskills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to work effectively across the Company's various business segments and locations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel,Wordand PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Oracle, OneStream, Toppan Merrill Bridge, or Salesforce, a plus
- Experience in the telecommunications industry, a plus
Estimated base salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 USD/annually.
The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
Additionally, this position may be e igible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
