Your Opportunity
As a part of the Design Computing division, you will participate in a revolution in design thinking, leveraging the latest digital tools and methodologies to unlock new realms of creativity, imagination, and efficiency. We are seeking energetic, outgoing, personable candidates for our summer 2026 internship program in downtown Denver, with excellent modeling, graphics, organizational and communication skills. Stantec’s Buildings Internship Program is designed to give you the best internship experience possible through working on local projects and collaborating with designers, planners, engineers, project managers and technical leaders to explore the frontiers of design. Opportunities for our Architectural Visualization interns include hands-on experience working on active projects, growing our content libraries, creating instructional workflow graphics, and participation in internal design presentations and dialogues.
Additionally, you will participate in Stantec’s Intern Design Project, an integrated team design project for a real client. You will be teaming with other interns in architecture, engineering, interiors, lighting design, and specialty services in North America to design and deliver cutting-edge and sustainable design solutions that exceed our clients’ needs.
Your Key Responsibilities
Support visualization project workflows including:
Modeling – Primarily in Revit. Secondarily in Blender, 3DS Max, Maya, etc.
Lighting – Unreal Engine and Twinmotion – Environmental and artificial
Materials – Twinmotion, Unreal Engine, Photoshop, Substance, AI, etc.
Rendering and Animation – Stills, walkthroughs, flyovers, motion graphics
Develop and modify Blueprint graphs in Unreal for - Interactive asset enablement in VR
Design Option Setup
Material Creation
Contribute to asset library organization (models and textures)
Creation of training graphics and videos
Utilize Revit as a preliminary tool for Visualization workflows
Assist maintaining the Visualization team Demo Reel and intranet site using Adobe Premiere and After Effects
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Proficiency in Revit
Additional proficiency in other modeling applications (Blender, Max, Maya preferred)
General understanding of BIM methodologies
Experience with Twinmotion and Unreal Engine
Knowledge of Photoshop and Premiere
Must be able to learn new tools and techniques quickly
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others
This position is in-office, not remote.
Please include a portfolio with your submission. Projects that highlight modeling and texture mapping preferred. AI generated or enhanced outputs can represent part of your portfolio however they must be labeled accordingly to allow evaluation of pre-AI modeling and rendering skills in your other work. Although this role is primarily associated with digital tools, we encourage you to include hand sketches, paintings, and other forms of analog traditional arts alongside your other digital work.
Education and Experience
This position is targeted towards students working toward a BA or BS in Architecture, Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Architecture, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Computer Graphics and Animation, or similar degrees. • $21.01 - $30.89 Hourly
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
