Description
Partnering with a family office in Denver, CO seeking a Senior Accountant. This is a great opportunity with hybrid work flexibility, 401k, PTO, health/vision/dental coverage and more.
Responsibilities for this role includes:
• Oversee and maintain accurate general ledger activities in accordance with organizational standards.
• Prepare and record recurring and adjusting journal entries to ensure proper financial documentation.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes while adhering to established timelines.
• Generate and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and additional financial reports.
• Reconcile bank accounts, subsidiary ledgers, and balance sheet accounts while promptly resolving discrepancies.
• Manage construction accounting functions, including job costing, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Monitor project budgets, financial performance, and cash flow to ensure alignment with goals.
• Assist project managers in creating and maintaining accurate budgets and forecasts for ongoing projects.
• Process vendor invoices and payments efficiently while managing daily and weekly accounts payable routines.
• Provide support for audits, tax-related activities, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Requirements
The ideal Senior Accountant comes with...
Bachelor's Degree
3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop experience- preferred
Construction industry experience- nice to have but not required
