Job Description
A large enterprise client is seeking a Hybrid Cloud Architect to support AWS‑first hybrid cloud initiatives. This role focuses on designing and deploying secure hybrid architectures, building network connectivity between on‑prem datacenters and AWS, and supporting cross‑region and global environments. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include architecting load balancing and firewall solutions (Palo Alto, F5), determining which workloads remain on‑prem versus move to the cloud, and automating infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible. Strong communication skills are essential, as this role regularly translates and summarizes complex technical discussions for both technical and non‑technical teams. This position operates in a large enterprise environment and requires strong networking fundamentals and hands‑on AWS architecture experience.
Location: Remote (US‑based)
Contract, with extensions
Pay Rate: 97-110/hr

Skills and Requirements
7+ years of strong AWS experience (Hands‑on AWS architecture design, not just operational support)
Hybrid cloud experience: On‑prem + AWS connectivity, Datacenter networking knowledge
Network & Security expertise (load balancing -F5, Firewalls -Palo Alto)
Infrastructure As Code (Terraform, Ansible)
