Kutak Rock LLP Regional Administrative Manager in Denver, Colorado

JOB SUMMARY

Kutak Rock LLP, a leading national law firm, seeks a Regional Administrative Manager to provide visionary direction and operational oversight for its Denver office. Reporting directly to the Regional Managing Partner of the Denver Office, which includes 93 attorneys and 57 legal and professional staff, this key leadership role sets the tone for office culture and is accountable for the overall operations of the Denver office including personnel and human resources, computer and business systems, facilities management, and other assigned duties.

The position is based in the Firm's Denver office and is a full-time, in-person role, Monday through Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of administrative and paralegal functions in the office, ensuring seamless operations and a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance
  • Manage and supervise administrative and paralegal staff, overseeing and coordinating a variety of support functions to include workload, distribution, operational workflows and the consistent delivery of high-quality support services across the office
  • Mentor and develop team members, supporting professional growth and maximizing performance
  • Lead change management and implement new systems, procedures, and policies
  • Resolve administrative issues by analyzing information and implementing solutions
  • Maintain rapport with office leadership and employees, assisting with special requests
  • Serve as a primary administrative contact and liaison for projects and events
  • Ensure compliance with firmwide policies and procedures
  • Assess and recommend improvements to systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Facilitate employee hiring processes, onboarding, offboarding, and disciplinary matters
  • Manage office budgetary matters, overseeing office accounting and expenses
  • Communicate timely and efficiently with all Firm members across the office and the Firm
  • Champion firm core values of integrity and fairness; innovation; and inclusiveness and diversity in all office operations

QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities

  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop staff, while holding staff accountable and providing high quality support
  • Demonstrated ability in successfully leading diverse teams with a track record of improving team performance, operational efficiency, or employee engagement
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, able to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Effective conflict management, coaching, delegation, and project monitoring abilities
  • Operative strategic guidance and general management for lawyers, managers, and staff
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organization
  • Skilled in handling confidential matters and synthesizing information
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, highly confidential employee relations and disciplinary matters with sound judgment and discretion, while maintaining overall office operations
  • Ability to anticipate and identify any problems or issues, recommend alternative courses of action, and manage change with a positive outcome
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, adapt to a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and shift priorities to achieve business goals and objectives
  • Proficient in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite, with ability to learn new applications quickly

QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in management, human resources, operations, or equiva ent experience preferred
  • Minimum of five years of dedicated office management experience that includes business operations, administration, facilities management, and the direct supervision of non-exempt employees
  • Experience in law firm or professional services administration preferred, but not required 

Position Information

Status: Exempt 

Salary Range: $150,000-$200,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience. 

Work Arrangement: In Office
