Presales Consultant Job Description: As a Presales Consultant at Sage, you will serve as the primary technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, bridging the gap between complex technical requirements and our customers' desired outcomes. You will conduct deep-dive discovery sessions to uncover operational pain points and design tailored software demonstrations that showcase high value workflows for our suite of retail focused software (Brightpearl, Inventory Planner, and ancillary software) for small to midsized businesses. By collaborating closely with Account Executives, you will architect integrated solutions that connect storefronts, marketplaces, and accounting systems into a unified Retail Operating System. Your expertise will be critical in responding to technical RFPs and ensuring that proposed configurations are both feasible and scalable for the client. Beyond the sale, you will act as a strategic partner to product teams, providing market feedback to help shape the future roadmap of the platform. You will also work with in-life customer success to demonstrate new and/or underutilized functionality for existing customers to drive platform adoption. Successful candidates possess a blend of technical acumen, persuasive communication skills, and a thorough understanding of the modern omnichannel retail landscape. This role is Hybrid based on-site three days per week in our Austin, TX office. Key Responsibilities: • Clearly articulate the benefits of Sage's retail solutions to all levels including lines of business managers and “C” level executives • Conduct deep dive discoveries with Account Executives to uncover customer challenges and outcomes as they relate to our products and services • Develop, present, and deliver high-impact demonstrations of the retail solutions to all levels of ecommerce staff • Support Account Executives and Customer Account Managers in production of high-quality sales proposals and supporting materials • Meet monthly, quarterly and annual quota objectives working in tandem with the Account Executives and Customer Account Managers. • Provide input to other cross-functional departments pertaining to prospect requests and product enhancements as needed • Represent Sage as retail subject matter experts at Agency and Technology partner events where necessary (< 10% travel required) • Mentor and assist in onboarding of new Pre Sales Consultants and Sales Account Executives where necessary Perks?
