As a Host Home Provider, you’ll open your home to an individual with disabilities and provide a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where they can grow, build independence, and truly feel at home.
You’ll be paid a daily rate while working from home—creating a unique opportunity to combine purpose with flexibility.
What You’ll Do
You’ll play a vital role in supporting day-to-day life, independence, and personal growth.
Daily Living & Life Skills Support
Teach and model essential life skills like cooking, cleaning, and home organization
Support budgeting, decision-making, and problem-solving
Encourage healthy routines and independence
Companionship & Community
Spend meaningful time together (games, TV, activities, conversation)
Encourage physical activity like walks or exercise
Support social engagement and community involvement
Care & Support
Provide behavior support as needed
Assist with transportation to appointments, school, or programs (based on client needs)
Ensure a safe, stable, and positive home environment
Documentation & Compliance
Complete timely notes and monthly reports
Maintain accurate documentation (including Axis system entries)
Attend required meetings and team huddles
Complete all required training and certifications
Home & Program Requirements
Client must have their own private bedroom
Up to 3 clients per host home (household members count toward this ratio and must pass background checks)
Reliable transportation required
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
