Position: Greenhouse Worker
Requirements:
Work requires standing, sitting, kneeling, and lifting 60 lbs. The worker will also participate in the delivery, attendance, and restocking at various farmers' markets. Work hours may vary according to the daily schedule. Workers must have a minimum of two (2) months of prior experience working in a greenhouse nursery, handling both manual and machine tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities.
Job Description:
Work activities include greenhouse and nursery planting/production, sorting, packaging, watering, general plant care, and loading and unloading products off racks and trucks. Manually seed, plant, transplant, cultivate, harvest, and sort produce. The worker will perform all work associated with growing and harvesting greenhouse-grown vegetables. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, & knives. Maintain greenhouse irrigation equipment. Harvest vegetables by hand. Harvest, clean, grade, label, box, and build pallets of vegetables grown in the greenhouse for sale at farmers' markets. Maintaining, cleaning, and rotating produce in coolers.
Anticipated Hours of Work Per Week: 40 hour per week
Schedule: 8am - 4pm Sunday - Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays off on Wednesdays and Fridays
Anticipated Period of Employment: 04/25/2026 - 11/15/2026

Effective 1/1/25:
Overtime must be paid after 48 hours/week, or 56 hours/week for up to 22 "peak weeks" for highly seasonal employers.
