Cardinal Health Director, Data Operations and Business Intelligence in Denver, Colorado

Job Summary:

The Director, Data Operations and Business Intelligence provides strategic and operational leadership to enable data-driven decision making, financial performance management, and scalable solutions execution across the Programs and Solutions Organization. This role is accountable for consolidating and advancing Data Operations and Business Intelligence capabilities, delivering actionable insights, and supporting organization priorities including billing, enrollment, onboarding, and analytics-driven growth.

This role is focused on financial rigor, KPI transparency, and organizational centralization. This role partners cross-functionally to execute consolidated reporting, support go-to-market solutions, modernize platforms, reduce operating costs, and expand the use of analytics, automation, and AI. This role balances near-term financial and operational results with long-term capability building, talent development, and a high-performance culture.

This role reports to the Vice President, Programs and Solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the centralization of Data Ops and Business intel to drive consistent analytics, reporting, and prioritization across the Programs and Solutions Org

  • Provide analytics and technical enablement to solutions teams using structured prioritization aligned to enterprise value and capacity

  • Develop dashboards, workflows, simulations, and reporting that translate complex data into actionable business insights

  • Support delivery of financial results for programs and solutions organization

  • Enable consolidated financial and KPI reporting that demonstrates value delivered through solutions and supports leadership decision making

  • Partner with solutions leaders and finance on variance analysis, cost management, and financial transparency, including managing T&E and expense discipline

  • Enable and support contract modeling, PBM analytics, network and payor scorecards, and other analytics

  • Support evaluation and transition of platforms to modern, scalable tools that enhance BI and Data Ops capabilities

  • Lead transformational projects to optimize data ops and business intel across Programs and Solutions and Managed Services organizations

  • Ensure secure, compliant, and practical data environments that meet regulatory and enterprise requirements

  • Build and sustain a high-performance culture through clear communication, engagement initiatives, and consistent team leadership

  • Develop, retain, and support talent through regular engagement, coaching, and career development

  • Ensure compliance with all corporate, regulatory, and CIA requirements, including timely completion of required trainings

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in a related field preferred

  • Organizational leadership experience preferred

  • Experience partnering with senior leaders across Finance, IT, Operations, Marketing, and Sales

  • Demonstrated success enabling data-driven decision making for go-to-market, onboarding, customer operations, or enterprise initiatives

  • Leadership experience, with experience leading other people leaders preferred

  • Experience working in a matrixed, change-driven environment

  • Ability to travel as needed

Anticipated salary range: $135,400 – $208,100
