Job Title: Diesel Mechanic - Heavy Equipment

Job Description

As a Diesel Mechanic for Heavy Equipment, you will be responsible for performing daily inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of construction equipment. This role services equipment both in the field using a company-provided service truck and in a shop environment as needed. You must document all repairs made.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment.

  • Diagnose and repair equipment issues efficiently both in the field and in the shop.

  • Document all repairs and maintenance activities accurately.

  • Service and maintain a variety of equipment including loaders, pavers, milling machines, rollers, scrapers, excavators, compaction equipment, and asphalt paving equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Experience as a diesel mechanic with heavy equipment.

  • Proficiency in working with CAT equipment and diesel emissions systems.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working as a mechanic on heavy equipment.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday to Saturday from 7am to 5pm, with potential for overtime exceeding 60 hours. Work will begin at the Lipan plant, covering a service territory within a 50-mile radius in Colorado, from Longmont to Sedalia. Approximately 80% of the work will be conducted in the field at job sites, with the remaining time spent in the shop. You will be provided with a company truck for fieldwork.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $79040.00/yr.
