Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Equipment (Field & Shop)
Location: Lipan Plant – 50‑mile service radius (Longmont to Sedalia, CO)
Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (hours may extend based on asphalt schedule)
Pay Range: $62,400–$79,040 annually + OT (60+ hours potential)
Sign‑On Bonus: $3,000 (paid in three installments)

Position Overview
As a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic , you will perform daily inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of construction equipment. Approximately 80% of work is performed in the field at active job sites using a company‑provided service truck.
You will be responsible for documenting all repairs, ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and ready to support ongoing operations.

CAT 6090 and similar heavy machinery
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy construction equipment
Conduct daily inspections and preventative maintenance
Respond to field service calls within a 50‑mile radius
Document all repairs, parts used, and work performed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Communicate equipment status and repair needs with supervisors and operators
Operate a company‑provided service truck for field repairs
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic working on heavy equipment
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Valid driver’s license
Clean MVR (no DUI or reckless driving)
Ability to work extended hours based on project needs
Comfortable working outdoors and in active construction environments
