Actalent Controls Engineer in Denver, Colorado
Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description
We are looking for a dedicated Controls Engineer to join our team. This role involves control system electrical design, AutoCAD electrical work, PLC programming (with a preference for Beckhoff, Siemens, or similar platforms), HMI development, electrical panel design, system validation, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and customer support.
Responsibilities
Design and develop control systems for electrical applications.
Utilize AutoCAD Electrical for design purposes.
Program PLCs, preferring Beckhoff and Siemens platforms.
Develop and implement HMI systems.
Design electrical panels to meet project specifications.
Validate systems to ensure proper functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide support to customers regarding control systems.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
3–5 years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or related fields.
Strong understanding of modern controls architecture and industrial networking.
Proven experience with PLC programming and control system design.
Familiarity with industrial safety standards and electrical codes.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to travel up to 10% for customer site support.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with pharmaceutical automated equipment or packaging is ideal.
Open to candidates from other industries.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
